AI & Coding Classes
for Kids in Ahmedabad

Live online classes for children aged 8–18, in batches of no more than 8. Whether your child is in Satellite, Maninagar, Bopal or Chandkheda, they learn to build real projects with code and AI, live on Zoom from home.

Why Plural in Ahmedabad

For a city of builders and business owners

Ahmedabad grew on mills, markets and family firms, and plenty of children here grow up watching a parent run a business. Coding gives them another way to build: an idea, a working version, feedback, a better version. We teach it live, in small groups, with mentors who have built real products.

🛠️

Make, don't just watch

Every class ends with something your child made: a game, a tool, a working page or an AI experiment.

🤖

AI explained properly

Teenagers learn how AI models work and use them from Python code, so they understand the tool rather than only typing prompts.

🏠

Class from home

No drive across the city in the afternoon heat. Every session is live on Zoom; there's no centre to travel to.

👥

Batches of up to 8

Every child gets the mentor's attention, and shy children have room to ask questions.

🎓

Mentors with real experience

Our mentors come from IIT Madras, IIM Ahmedabad, ex-Google teams and funded startups.

Ahmedabad schools and coding

Gujarat board, CBSE and the rest

Most Ahmedabad children study under the Gujarat Secondary and Higher Secondary Education Board (GSHSEB, often called GSEB), in either Gujarati-medium or English-medium schools. CBSE schools are common across the city too, and there are some ICSE, IB and Cambridge schools, mostly in the newer western areas.

What Gujarat is doing in its schools

Gujarat's government has put real money into classroom technology. Its Gyankunj programme, launched on Teacher's Day 2017, equips government primary school classrooms with projectors, laptops, interactive boards and Wi-Fi, and its second phase covers 12,000 classrooms of Standards 7 and 8 (Samagra Shiksha Gujarat). Smart classrooms help children learn every subject with technology; they don't, on their own, teach children to write programs. That part still usually happens outside school.

CBSE and ICSE students

CBSE is bringing Computational Thinking and AI into Classes 3 to 8 from 2026–27 (CBSE curriculum), while ICSE schools teach Computer Applications in Java from Class 9 (CISCE). Both are a useful start. Neither gives a child much time to build something of their own, which is where a weekly live class helps.

Which language should my child start with?

Younger children begin with blocks, then move to Python or JavaScript once typing feels easy. If you're weighing this up, our guide to Scratch vs Python for kids and the article on what age kids should start coding cover it in detail.

An Ahmedabad week

Around school, tuition and festival season

Many Ahmedabad schools run morning or afternoon shifts, and tuition classes take up a good part of the evening, especially from Class 8 onwards. In summer, few parents want their child travelling across the city in the afternoon heat for one more class.

Plural is one 90-minute live class a week, 4 classes a month, in evening and weekend batches on Zoom. We share the current batch times on WhatsApp after you reserve a seat, since they change as batches fill, and you choose what works with your child's school shift.

Two seasons to plan around: GSHSEB's Class 10 and Class 12 board exams in February and March (in 2026 they started on 26 February), and Navratri and Diwali, when family routines change for a few weeks. Let us know your child's class when you reserve a seat, and we'll help you pick a start date that lets them settle in properly.

Project ideas

Ahmedabad problems worth coding

Ideas to spark a project, not a list of finished work. A mentor helps your child pick one and make it their own.

🪁

Uttarayan wind checker

A script that reads the wind forecast in the days before Uttarayan and suggests the best hours for flying kites from your terrace.

☀️

Heat-day reminder

Ahmedabad summers are fierce. A simple app that checks the forecast and reminds the family to drink water and stay indoors in the afternoon.

🧵

Pattern maker

For younger kids: drawing bandhani dots and block-print shapes with code, a playful way into loops in a city with a long textile history.

🏪

Shop stock tracker

A teen builds a small stock and sales tracker for a family shop, then adds an AI-written weekly summary for the grown-ups.

🛰️

Satellite image explorer

Ahmedabad is home to ISRO's Space Applications Centre. An AI Builders student could try sorting public satellite images into green cover and built-up land.

🔤

Gujarati-English word game

A quiz that pairs Gujarati and English words, useful for a younger sibling or for a child moving from Gujarati-medium to English-medium.

FAQ

Questions from Ahmedabad parents

Classes are taught in English, so your child needs to be comfortable following simple spoken and written English. Code itself uses a small set of English words that children pick up quickly, and mentors explain new terms as they come. If you're unsure, the first 2 classes are a fair test: if it isn't a fit, you get a full refund.
No. Plural isn't tied to any board and doesn't replace school computer lessons. It sits alongside them: whatever your child's school covers, Plural adds hands-on building, from first games for younger kids to Python and AI projects for teenagers.
GSHSEB holds its Class 10 (SSC) and Class 12 (HSC) exams in February and March; in 2026 they began on 26 February. Plural is one 90-minute class a week, but many families prefer a break around board exams. Tell us your child's class when you reserve a seat and we'll help you plan the start date.
Coding teaches a child to turn an idea into something that works, test it, and improve it, which is how good businesses run too. Older students also learn to use AI tools properly, for example automating a sales report or building a simple customer chatbot, instead of treating them as magic.
Eight is a good age to begin. Little Makers (ages 8–10) uses block coding, puzzles and simple games, so there's no typing pressure, and children learn sequencing and logic that make later Python much easier.
₹5,000 a month for 4 live 90-minute classes in a batch of up to 8 children, or ₹10,000 a month on the Squad plan with only 4 children in the batch. Full refund if it isn't a fit after the first 2 classes.
